The favourite for hot summer days
This set, I'm sure, will be this summer's favourite set.
It consists of the top from No. 20 New York and a hack on No. 5 Aarhus as a skirt, as you can see how I have made it HERE.
But here, I want to talk a little about No. 20, for it is one of those patterns we do not talk about so often. I think that's a shame because it's a really good pattern. It is intended as both a top, chemise, and nightgown, but the dresses can easily be made into cute summer dresses. Here in the pictures, you can see the top.
I love this top because I'm not wearing that much clothes, perfect for hot summer days, but I feel covered around my chest. I do not mind showing a little chest and cavalier, but in a way, I feel more "naked" in silk than I would do in a low-cut wool dress, probably because the fabric is so light, delicate and airy.
In addition to the top being very beautiful when wearing, it is easy and quick to sew. Perfect for a hot summer day or under a cardigan or jacket in the fall. In winter, you can use it in addition to a long-sleeved or under a wool sweater.
So I just wanted to say a bit about remembering to see the potential in all patterns. Just because this one in the original images looks like an undershirt, it's definitely not the only thing it holds. Be creative and experiment! Of course, I already know that you do because I have often seen incredibly beautiful and creative solutions and stylings of my patterns.
