OUR NEW APP: NOW AVAILABLE

It's been a long time coming, but now it's finally here: our new app!

You might think that we already have an app, and that's right. However, the old app had some shortcomings, and then it was only possible to download it for iPhone and not Android phones.

But after 2 years of programming, we are finally at the finish line with our new app! This app is available for both iPhones and Android phones. On the app, it will be possible to find sewing instructions for all guides, including videos on guides and much more.

It has been time-consuming and meant many long weekends and evenings to develop this app. Still, we believe in digital development, and we have a goal of making our business as paperless as possible. In the 8 years that HTDF has existed, it has never been possible to get a printed sewing guide unless you printed it yourself. Back then, I got many requests, and people did not understand it - today, I get almost no inquiries regarding physical sewing instructions, and I hope that we have helped push it in the right direction.

For me, printed sewing instructions always end up missing. Maybe the first time I sew a pattern, I use it, and then it just disappears. It's a waste of paper. But, as a seamstress, we are "forced" to print the pattern out to draw it. So, where we can save paper, we should do it.

We always have the phone at hand anyway, so the obvious choice was to put it all in an app version.

I think it's so smart that you can pack your sewing instructions everywhere, even if you're sitting somewhere without an internet connection.

Do you have any wishes for what the app should accommodate in the future?

For example, I dream of getting a print button directly in the app so you can send a pattern to print directly from the app. I also dream of a "share" button - for example, I would love to be able to share a sewing guide with my ReMarkable, which is where I save all my notes, knitting patterns, to-do lists and much more. In the end, I dream of being able to favourite patterns so that you can make "wish lists" inside the app - it would help to make an excellent overview!

I have become SO happy and proud of the result.

I hope you will welcome the app and give it a shot! I can tell you that the app has become part of my regular tools when I sew.

Love,

Nanna
