40 items in my wardrobe: 10 details

Now we're in the next chapter in my story and tour around my wardrobe - and when we're talking a homemade wardrobe, we can't skip details and finish.

I’ve shown you 10 outfits and 10 pairs of shoes.

I love personal details, and I love to give my clothes a beautiful and thorough finish. So for me, adjustments, personal details and worked-through clothes are three things I put a lot of effort into when I make clothes for my wardrobe. So I can see, when I put a lot of time, energy and love into my homemade clothes, I'm happier with them, and I keep them for a more extended time because I take better care of them.

Like many who love sewing, I have a lot of fabrics for future projects. Something is essential, but others are exceptional, so I need to find something to use. The unique material I choose to embroidery on have to be perfect; the perfect idea. It can take me a lot of time to get the courage to do it - I can go many years before I finally get an embroidery idea into life; other times, I just do it!

Doing crafts with my hands is like therapy for me. Some of you might think I must have a calming job as "All I do is sewing" - Oh, you should know how many times I've heard that line. Actually, a minimal amount of my work is sewing; I sit a lot of time in front of the computer. That's why I feel so free, and it feels like such a treat to finally dive into a project where I can use my hands and get "nerdy".

Here you can see a mix of all the details and techniques I love to use when I make y own clothes—here's everything from a french seam to embroidery to homemade buttons and belts.

Sometimes I want to tell you each story of every detail, but all you get are these small pieces of art for now.
