I want to marry again...

… Not the big thing and in a church, but in my garden among my closest friends and dearest family. And this dress would be perfect for just that. It sure would be filled with ketchup and drinks when the night is over, but so be it. It's made out of cotton and way more wearable than my silk wedding dress I wore 11 years ago. And don't we all need a good summer/garden party to celebrate love after this past year!?

The fabric is a cotton Broderie Anglaise. I love this fantastic cotton lace. This version is more graphic with a pattern I just love.

I specifically bought this fabric to make No. 21 Casablanca. But because this fabric is transparent, I don't think it would make a perfect wrap dress. So I made a few changes so the sewing pattern would fit this fabric better.

I've finished all raw edges with bias tape, and so is the neckline, the sleeves and the hemline. I think that makes the best result in the end.

I'm wearing a beige slip-dress underneath made from the pattern No. 20 New York to match my skin colour. I like that more than a white chemise, as it makes the pattern of the broderie Anglaise pop more, than a white would without making me feel naked.

You can, of course, make this version of No. 21 Casablanca in all kinds of fabric! If you wish to, I've made a guide for this version of the dress.
