The guide to make this dress

To make this dress, you have to make a few changes to the pattern. You have to make changes to pattern piece A and D.

  1. Make pattern piece A so it will be on fold.

  • On Pattern piece A find the CF Line and Extent this line to the neckline.

  • Cut the line

  • Write CF cut on fold allonge the line

2. Make the new neckline.

  • Draw a horizontal line 10 cm above the bust notch on pattern piece A (or make it the length you want)

  • Draw a horizontal line 5 cm from CB neck on pattern piece D (or make it the length you want)

  • Cut the lines

FITTING:

We recommend that you always make a muslin before you cut the fashion fabric to make sure your finished style will fit you perfectly.

Cutting

You will need the following pattern pieces from No. 21. Casablanca A - B – C – D – E – F – G – H – K

I use the cutting layout plan from version 2 to get the overall view

NB! remember to cut pattern piece A on fold

you will need

Fabric with a width of 140 cm

  • Size 32-36 4 m

  • Size. 38-42 4.25 m

  • Size 44-50 5 m

  • Size 52-54 5.6 m

Thread 

50 cm invisible zipper 

You will also need a lot of bias bands to finish all the raw edges. If you made it in broderie Anglaise, I recommend finishing all edges with a bias band. If you choose another fabric, you don't have to put bias tape on all seams. 

Sewing

  • Cut all your pieces in fabric.

  • Sew the pocket flaps together in pairs, right sides together. 

  • Turn and press all the pieces of the pocket flaps. 

  • Follow this instruction from point 8 to 19.

  • Sew the CB seam right sides together, and finish the seam with bias tape .

  • Sew bias tape to the CB Neckline .

  • Sew bias tape to the CF Neckline. 

    • The side-back seam.

    • The side- front seam.

  • Sew bias tape to the following seams .

    • The side-back seam to the shoulder seam.

    • The side- front seam to the shoulder seam.

    • Side seams on both the front and the back.

    • The shoulder seam on both the front and the back.

     

  •   Sew the left side seam, right sides together. 

  • Sew zipper in the left side seam starting 4 cm underarm.

  • Finish the rest of the side seam on the left side .

  • Sew the shoulder seams right sides together. 

  • Press all seams .

  • Finish the hem with a bias band .

  • Sew the sleeves .

  • Sew the long sleeve seam, right sides together. 

  • Sew the short sleeve seam, right sides together. 

  • Finish the seam with bias tape .

  • Pin and sew the sleeves to the armscye. The sleeves have a 2 cm ease. 

  • Finish the seam with a bias tape .
