5 ways to get even more use of the HTDF universe

If I say so myself, I'm thrilled with the universe I've created. The HTDF universe. I enjoy knowing I've created a community for women, where we all slowly but surely come to peace with our bodies through sewing clothes where we give our bodies the space they need. Clothes should fit the woman, not the woman who should change her body to make clothes fit.

Are you new to the HTDF universe? It can be overwhelming being new in a community. Where do you start? You may have bought a sewing pattern but haven't started yet. You could have sewn one of two of my designs, or you haven't bought one. No matter where you are in your HTDF journey, you can learn something new to get even more out of the HTDF community that isn't just sewing patterns. HTDF is more than that!

  • Use hashtags
What colour should you use for your project? Do you want to see how the garment looks on different bodies? Or are you looking for inspiration for your next project? Remember to use our hashtags! That way, we create multiple small digital libraries for each sewing pattern to collect all inspiration in one place. Look at the video below to see how you can use it.

  • Check out "tips and tricks."
I love my sewing patterns. I create designs that I want to wear myself. But sometimes, I change a few things because I get new ideas. I can add pockets, buttons, sleeves or some fourth thing. Whenever I create a little "hack", I put it on the website. If you go to the website and look at the pattern page, you click on the patterns you want to explore. When you arrive at the individual pattern site, you'll see a small button saying "tips and tricks" on the right. Maybe you want to make No. 7 Vanløse into a jumpsuit? Or turn the No. 15 Barcelona cape into a dress? This is the place to find guides to do precisely that!

  • Use the app
You always lose your paper sewing instructions if you're anything like me. With our app, you always have the sewing instructions by hand and don't have to worry. You'll lose it.

  • Deeper conversations on the blog
Maybe you're one of the followers who discovered us on Instagram. Many new followers don't know that HTDF started as a blog where I shared my passion for sewing. It has grown into a business where I teach sewing and create sewing patterns. But I still love to write on the blog, even though I don't do it as often as I used to. I can be more honest and open up on the blog even more than on Instagram. Today, social media moves fast and is short-formed, but I like to express myself slowly and in lengthy forms. It's more personal. And when things get too long and personal for Instagram, I share it on the blog instead. Often, you'll get to know me, Nanna, even better on the blog. I talk a lot about bodies, my body understanding, my style and my wardrobe voyage on the blog.

  • Newsletters to inspire
You get a free sewing pattern when you sign up for our newsletter. But you'll also get monthly inspiration for your following sewing projects and small tricks to get better sewing skills. Don't worry we won't spam your inbox. What we message you should create value and teach you something you didn't know. We just started a new strategy for our newsletter to ensure the quality is the best it can be, and the feedback we've gotten over the past few weeks has been better than ever. Do you want to read along the next time? You can sign up for our newsletter here.
