Push yourself out of your comfortzone

Sometimes we must try to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and be brave. It can be difficult, especially if we have some issue with our bodies. We may tend to hide ourselves and our problems well away under multiple layers of clothing.

I talk a lot about remembering to pay tribute to our body and highlight what is beautiful instead of spending our energy hiding what we are not so happy with. Personally, I do not have the best relationship with my knees, my upper arms and stomach skin have also become a bit limp over the years and after a pregnancy where I had a stomach circumference of over 120 cm. It has also left its mark.

But having said that, I'm happy with my body, which is strong and healthy. However, I must say that this set, even though it is beautiful with these dots and the delicate materials, really pushed me outside my comfort zone. Almost all my issues are ticked off with this set: I am not used to showing belly skin and then in the same round where my arms are also completely bare.

I have not worn a bikini in 6 years, but this year I have bought myself a bikini. My issues with my stomach simply take up too much space in my life, and I believe that one should face the fear. I have done so with the bikini, but to that extent also with this set, which is actually intended to be used elsewhere than just on the beach. But I feel surprisingly comfortable in this set. I do not have to lie, I have also started training, and it gives a good body feeling which I take with me every day when I leave the gym. Maybe it's what has given me the courage to jump out with bare belly skin; maybe it's because I'm getting older and have realized that there are more important things in life than my belly skin.
