DIY: Make the senorita dress from No. 16 Sevilla
It is time to show you a hack on how to change the No. 16 Sevilla pattern into this dress. We like to call it “The senorita dress”.
Make a new neckline
Draw a straight line from the curved neckline 3 cm from the shoulder. End the line at the notch at the centre front line (B)
Do the same on the neck facing (D)
2. Make the middle section
Draw the cut line onto the four skirt pattern pieces. The easiest way is to place them in chronological order like on the drawing below
Start at the front (E) and draw a parallel line 1,5 cm above the hipline
On the Side front (F) start 1,5 cm above the hipline and make a curved line to the hipline on the side seam
On the side back (H) start at the hipline and make a curved line ending 2 cm under the hipline at the side back.
On the Center back (G) start 2 cm from the hip and end 2.5 cm on the centre back.
Cut in the line. The top pieces are the middle section
3. Make the skirt
Place all the cut-offs with the corners of the bottom line torch each other.
Now trace a “square” with a curved top following the cutline made in point 3. It is important to have 90 degrees angels in all corners
Divide the square in two so you get a front and a back
The front is cut on fold.
