How to extend the 26 Hamborg shirt into a shirt-dress
Extend the front piece
Extend from the waist. This way, you get the evenest hemline.
I have extended the dress in the picture by 85 cm from the waist. It is a size 42
Extend by following the line on the hip. Remove the slightly curved hipline.
Extend the front facing to the same length as the dress
Add width for the hip on the back piece
Cut the back piece in the waist line.
Devide the lovest part into 3 pieces, and cut.
Spread the cuts 5 cm on the part nearest to the hip.
The Center back needs to be straight so you can place the pattern piece on fold. So adjust in the height at the centre back to make the centre back straight see the illustration below.
Extend the shirt by 85 cm from the waist.
