Guide
how to quilt
It is not difficult to quilt, but it is extra work; however, it is so worth it, in the end!
When you quilt you always need:
Batting
Quilting glue I prefer to use spray adhesive and use this one
measuring tape or a walking foot for your sewing machine
How to
Mark with notches two quilting lines that overlap each other.
Fold and press the fabric according to the notches, so you get at diagonal cross
Baste with spray adhesive to one side of the batting
Place the pressed pieces onto the glued side of the batting – let the grain line follow the edge of the batting.
Turn the work and spray the other side. Place a piece of Main fabric to the glue - let the grainline follow the edge of the batting.
Cut the edges
Start by sewing the two first quilting lines – the one you have pressed.
Use a walking foot for your sewing machine, if you have one - or use a measuring tape to sew the rest of the quilting lines.
